SE Signature
It is virtually impossible to fully express the impact Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – universally known for his elegantly moving melodic lines, grounded on subtly sophisticated musical structures – has had on the identity of our home, Vienna.
So when Peter Gansterer started to realize his very first vision of an elegant, slim, yet powerful, floorstanding speaker in 1990, the name was chosen with mindful consideration. In these early trials, Peter worked with local carpenters and had to be content with high grade, but still standard, drivers. Needless to say that these days laid the foundation of the numerous, exclusive „Designed and developed by Vienna Acoustics“ drivers, which were about to arise.
The refinement of our Mozart’s aesthetics over the years is obvious and achieved due to our decades-long partnership with the highest grade European furniture manufacturers. The evolution of technology and capability of this timeless beauty is significant.
And here we are today, joyously introducing our Mozart SE Signature. Just as its namesake, Mozart SE Signature is a rebel. Despite its classical background, the speakers refuse to be categorized in one genre only. We should know – the taste of the Vienna Acoustics squad range from deepest Austrian folk music to highest free jazz pieces – and a whole lot in between.

Mozart SE Signature features our handcoated silkdome tweeter, capable of revealing even the finest nuances in a most natural way, never in danger to offend the ear with any stridency, and consummately extend well down into the midrange spectrum. The 6 inch midrange driver benefit from the proprietary X3P cone material. Combining TPX, the unique thermoplastic used in all XPP cones, with three polypropylene based synthetics achieves maximum inner damping, ultra-low mass, and precise control over cone density and rigidity. The mid/bass drivers do not work in parallel, but instead the lower driver tapers off with rising frequency, while the upper woofer plays full range. This enables the perfect dispersion pattern regardless of frequency being produced. Higher frequencies take advantage of a smaller reproduction surface, while in the bass region both drivers are at full output, resulting in the advantage of a larger surface area to produce the lowest frequencies, with the effect of superiour dynamics in bass reproduction, with remarkable power and control.
What made every generation of Mozart so successful, is its capability to beautifully harmonize with modest-sized rooms, as well as its magic to fill large spaces with a distinctive, stunning presence, which belies its unobtrusive dimensions on a massive scale. At a major exhibition lately we had the pleasure to communicate with many Vienna Acoustics clients and this feedback from a longtime customer profoundly got under our skin:
“You have no idea how much joy your speakers brought to my life.“
We love crafting loudspeakers, and that’s why.
